The spy who betrayed me

Guest Post by Abu Talha

So you meet a brother who feeds you the story that he has no money, he wants to learn about Islam and needs help because all his life he has associated with the ‘wrong crowd’. He tells you he has no family. He tells you about his past; stories about alcohol and drug abuse melts your heart. He wants to associate with you, and learn from you. What is a Muslim to do? Quite naturally you take this brother under your wings, and to the best of your ability, you help him. You don’t question him, nor do you judge him. You comfort him, and tell him that Allah is the giver of mercy and that it is your duty to help a fellow Muslim in difficulty. You are motivated by the Hadith you hear all the time. This is when you can actually put the words of the Messenger of Allah into action: More >

Gilligan fails to condemn racism & threats of violence

Andrew ‘I have considerable doubt as to how reliable Gilligan’s evidence really is’ opens another diatribe against Muslims with the words “I proudly present today’s post”. What is fast becoming clear is his pride in unleashing racism, violence and hatred towards Muslims.  Gilligan has emphatically stated that he has a personal vendetta against IFE and its members on our show (Easy Talk) over the weekend – he followed this admission with the threat ‘Don’t imagine this to end’! But Andrew, I’m a good boy!

Andrew Gilligan posted a piece on me on his blog last week. It was another attempt to portray IFE as an extremist Islamist organisation which aims to take over the world and establish Shariah. It goes without saying that  blog authors  on Between the Lines (BtL) are responsible for what they write and blogs which appear on BtL do not necessarily represent the views of  IFE, but this was completely missed by Andrew! After all Andrew is the guy who blames the IFE/LMC for speeches delivered by non IFE members, not invited by the IFE, speaking at a non IFE event.

Watch out Gilligan’s about!

Over at the Psychologist today web-site I came across an alarming post. Dr Satoshi Kanazawa an evolutionary psychologist, who is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Psychology at University College London and Birbeck, suggests that most if not all newspapers in Britain make up news stories as they go along irrespective of their authenticity. He cites findings of the Reporters Sans Frontieres’s annual index of press freedom, the United Kingdom currently ranks 24th in the world in terms of press freedom, with the 2007 index of 8.25. In comparison, the United States ranks 48th in the world, with the 2007 index of 14.50. (The smaller the index, the freer the press.) More >

I tell you there is a wolf there, there is!

Andrew ‘I have considerable doubt as to how reliable Gilligan’s evidence really is Gilligan really does not like being ignored does he? Take a look at his new article in the Telegraph, he laments how no-one else is taking up his year-long project and reporting on it. Even after getting his friend Douglas ‘conditions for Muslims in Europe must be made harder across the board’ Murray to help. He accuses those who are ignoring his ‘revelations’ of being scared. Of course it would never occur to him that maybe there is absolutely nothing there other than innuendo, sensationalists dramatisation, and as we established yesterday, ‘dishonest’ methods deployed to conjure up an illusion. Andrew Gilligan, my new fan

After filming for nearly a year, having to rehash much of the old mumbo jumbo written about me and reading incessantly from the cesspits of the blogosphere – I am not surprised at all that Andrew Gilligan has become my biggest fan.  ‘I feel like I’ve known him for ages’ says Andrew and ‘I sort of liked him, actually’.

Well Andrew I am touched, but you still have to queue in an orderly fashion mate and display some ‘Britishness’ in your character. One of those qualities would also be to not turn up uninvited to an invitation only event. You see old chap, it puts the host in an awkward position having to turn you away at the door in front of your ‘friends in the Bengali media’ and it belittles you in their eyes. It was also noticeable how none of your ‘friends in the Bengali media’ came to your aid! More >
