Combating the weak Gazi (combatant)

A guest post by Abu Ghazi

We all enjoy occasional intellectual nourishment in the media – most of the time the papers provide us with enticing food for thought but, unfortunately, with the current war against Islam and all the media hype and distortions surrounding it, we scarcely find good articles with real substance and accuracy.

Since the war ‘against terrorism’ or Islam, we’ve had to endure people claiming to be overnight experts on Islam and the Muslims, from both Muslims and non-Muslim alike. Now, with the subsequent launch of the infamous contest 2 strategy, I’m anticipating more shoddy ‘experts’ of Islam to be given platform. I wonder, to what level the media and the government will stoop down to!

As I opened my email yesterday morning one of the first emails that caught my eye was a link to an article in the Guardian Comments is Free section by Faisal Gazi on Islam and secularism. Who you may ask? It’s Faisal Gazi, a software engineer by day and a writer and a blogger by night. There’s no end to the ramblings of the pseudo experts on Islamic political thought! How eating ‘Marmite’ can help the Israeli campaign

Lets keep it in simple geographical context: it’s about freedom seeking innocent Palestinians being exterminated by the Israeli Dalek machines. It’s about Jewish holocaust nightmares fuelling the Israelis to defy all, even God, to harm them again.

But Francesca Segal’s article in the Observer, was the most childish, boot licking, pathetic #!@!, I have read. Because it was written by a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It had hints of fascist, racist and malignant undercurrents laced with little miss Jewess being a good British citizen. Her notion of being British: Having a ‘Labrador’, ‘Sunday lunch’ and ‘eating Marmite’.

If indeed she was sincere, then I am indeed very sympathetic; for the ordinary innocent British Jews who are facing a backlash from over-zealous pro-Palestinian supporters Continue reading How eating ‘Marmite’ can help the Israeli campaign

The three worst men

I was glad to hear yesterday that Cardinal Renato Martino, a senior Vatican official, declare the Gaza strip a ‘big concentration camp’. He is quite frankly describing the situation as it is.

It is a ‘concentration camp’ as the Israeli control all access to Gaza, and the massacre does not differentiate between the young and the old, or the fighter and the civilian. This machiavellian attitude of the Zionist regime where ‘ends justify means’ – at any cost was the same attitude of Adolf Hitler against Jews. Continue reading The three worst men

For Gazans, there is no tunnel to walk out from

As we entered the tunnel, my children and I, we merged into the overwhelming force of power when a people rise united under the flag for justice. The air was over flowing with euphoria. I call it the Ummah power; for our marching, chanting and breathing became one body and mind, with the collective adrenaline continuously energising our resolve to get through the many obstacles of weather, batons and blocks.

As I turned to my friend, her face reflecting my own thoughts, I said; just think if we died now, would we be shaheeds? Continue reading For Gazans, there is no tunnel to walk out from

Pity not the Muslims of Gaza!

As we watch the news screen everyday, our heart breaks when we see the images of the children dying and mosques being bombed to dust amongst other things. Yesterday 20 Muslims were blown to pieces after the evening prayers along with the mosque they were praying in. The question is should we be weeping for them? Continue reading Pity not the Muslims of Gaza!

Gaza = Hamas

As I watch the news I sometimes wonder why Israel has focused so much on Gaza. Israel has over the years ’strangled’ the life out of the people in Gaza and its infrastructure.

Even before the recent bombing and resulting massacre, Gaza ran out of food and fuel; sewage pipes burst open in the streets; people resorted to eating grass from the road, children and the vulnerable dying as there was no access to medical care and then came the fighter jets to slaughter Continue reading Gaza = Hamas
