I read this on the Easy Talk forum, the author wishes to remain anonymous, but I felt compelled to share the words at least.
The more I see the suffering of my Ummah, the more I miss him more and more. I wonder if he was here, like a father, he would wrap his arm around us. Wiped the tears from our eyes, reminded us of the reward of Sabr [Patience]. His soft speech would take us to the journey of Jannah, and whispered silently, “This life is a prison for the believer.” I would feel secure having him there; I would know his advice is the best. He said he loves us, his sisters and brothers, even when we weren’t born Continue reading Ya Ummati

With nearly 5,000 words spanning 5 articles and as many days and countless hours, David Toube has tried to slander, smear and malign me with cheap ‘copy & paste’ of my blogs, quotes and interviews spanning years. Yet the best he could come up with is innuendos and an obscene imagination. The bottom line is, David Toube is upset (!) that I have achieved what I have! A friend emailed me to say that ‘it’s the initials of your name that did it for him, AA = Abdullah Azzam & Anwar Awlaki!’.
In the first blog, ‘Azad Ali: The Jihad Lover and the Civil Service’ by Habibi (too scared to reveal his name) supported by David Toube, tries the Jihadist line on me Continue reading HP – a sauce worth avoiding!

I wondered how long it would take mad Mel to jump in head first to tell all and sundry what the Mumbai attacks proves. She says, “It is a war waged in the name of Islam against America, Britain, Hindus, Jews and all who refuse to submit to Islamic conquest.” She laments ‘western commentariat’ for being naïve and yet to understand what all this is about – in her mind “It does not arise from particular grievances. It is not rooted in ‘despair’ over Palestine. It is not a reaction to the war in Iraq.”
Triumphantly she announces, “The atrocities demonstrated with crystal clarity what the Islamist war is all about”. Shamelessly mad Mel felt the need to title her little rant ‘The war against civilisation’ Continue reading Scratching my head

In a recent interview Huthaifa Azzam said, “If I saw an American or British man wearing a soldier’s uniform inside Iraq I would kill him because that is my obligation. If I found the same soldier over the border in Jordan I wouldn’t touch him. In Iraq he is a fighter and an occupier, here he is not. This is my religion and I respect this as the main instruction in my religion for jihad.”
He is also quoted as saying, “That is the last thing my father would have wanted but he knew the dangers of it. He always warned people to stay away from the extremists, he even put it in his will. What is happening today with Al-Qaeda is not his way.” Continue reading Defeating extremism by promoting balance.

A little while ago I wrote a blog on the situation in Palestine and how there is a concerted effort to squeeze the life out of the Palestinians. If it’s not the terrorist killing of children, men and women by the occupying Zionist’s army, then it’s the blockade – if that fails they turn off the fuel, the water supply and much more. But every now and again a little trickle of hope gets in whether by the noble efforts of the likes of Lauren Booth and the blockade busting ships.
Sometimes hope is provided by charities, one such charity is Interpal. We know the Zionists have tried to close down Interpal for a while now – one such attempt cost them dearly, but they have not given up. Continue reading Save Interpal!

Whatever your persuasion and conviction, the issue of voting in the American elections has monopolised the media – Muslim or otherwise. One is hard pushed to read much about the flooding in Gaza – but go to almost any Muslim website and you will surely hear about the elections.
Imam Suhaib Webb for example has a banner on his website declaring his voting intentions, not that there is anything wrong with that. But I do wonder how we have done in winning the argument put forward by those who profess that participation in the American elections is of no benefit Continue reading Iman, the new President and you!
