There isn’t a debate to be had

As the elections get closer, the ever decreasing naysayers start to bring out their messages of abstention and exclusion. There was a time, maybe a decade or two ago, when there used to be debate on political participation by Muslims living in the West.

These days the overwhelming majority of Muslim scholars have not only said that political participation is allowed but that it is to be encouraged. Amongst these majority voices are the largest body of Muslim scholars, the Fiqh Council of Jidda headed by the Mufti of Saudi Arabia along with scholars such as Shaykh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, Shaykh Bin Bayyah , Dr Wahba Zuhaili, Dr Taha Jabir al-’Awani, Shaykh Abdul Karim Zaydan, Dr. Munir Farid Wasil, former Mufti of Egypt, Shaykh Nizam Yaqubi, Shaykh Haitham al-Haddad from the Islamic Sharia Council, Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam from Darul Iftaa in Leicester, Mufti Zubair Butt from the Al Qalam Institute, Shaykh Muhammad Al-Mukhtar Al-Shinqiti, Shaykh Salman Al Awdah, Shaykh Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid and Maulana Khalilul Rahman Sajjad Nomani Nadwi. The list goes on, but I think you get the point.

Gilligan fails to condemn racism & threats of violence

Andrew ‘I have considerable doubt as to how reliable Gilligan’s evidence really is’ opens another diatribe against Muslims with the words “I proudly present today’s post”. What is fast becoming clear is his pride in unleashing racism, violence and hatred towards Muslims.  Gilligan has emphatically stated that he has a personal vendetta against IFE and its members on our show (Easy Talk) over the weekend – he followed this admission with the threat ‘Don’t imagine this to end’! I tell you there is a wolf there, there is!

Andrew ‘I have considerable doubt as to how reliable Gilligan’s evidence really is Gilligan really does not like being ignored does he? Take a look at his new article in the Telegraph, he laments how no-one else is taking up his year-long project and reporting on it. Even after getting his friend Douglas ‘conditions for Muslims in Europe must be made harder across the board’ Murray to help. He accuses those who are ignoring his ‘revelations’ of being scared. Of course it would never occur to him that maybe there is absolutely nothing there other than innuendo, sensationalists dramatisation, and as we established yesterday, ‘dishonest’ methods deployed to conjure up an illusion. Andrew Gilligan, my new fan

After filming for nearly a year, having to rehash much of the old mumbo jumbo written about me and reading incessantly from the cesspits of the blogosphere – I am not surprised at all that Andrew Gilligan has become my biggest fan.  ‘I feel like I’ve known him for ages’ says Andrew and ‘I sort of liked him, actually’.

Well Andrew I am touched, but you still have to queue in an orderly fashion mate and display some ‘Britishness’ in your character. One of those qualities would also be to not turn up uninvited to an invitation only event. You see old chap, it puts the host in an awkward position having to turn you away at the door in front of your ‘friends in the Bengali media’ and it belittles you in their eyes. It was also noticeable how none of your ‘friends in the Bengali media’ came to your aid! More >

We are the Resistance II

From the outset of this latest massacre, the Zionist terrorist state of Israel had only one aim, to destroy all semblance of resistance. As the days move on and the number murdered passes the 1,000 mark, we have yet to hear any condemnation from our government.

In fact, the propaganda machine of the terrorist state can claim one victory that it has managed to sway some ‘Muslims’ to drop the call for a condemnation and recognition of the crime being committed against the Gazans. More >

It’s foreign policy stupid!

It is nearly two weeks and nearly 600 people have been killed. Yet our government still does not condemn the Zionist terrorist state of Israel.

The MCB has taken a principled stand that it will meet with the Prime Minister and the Foreign Secretary to air its views and concerns. Whilst the government machinery works tirelessly to ‘manage’ the Muslim leadership through junior ministerial meetings, the MCB has chosen to ignore this crass management and stood its ground for a meeting at the highest levels. An action that has brought it much credibility and dignity amongst the Muslim masses. More >
