Inayat stabs an intruder (in self-defence), and is arrested (but the CPS will not press any charges, so that means he is innocent!)

Read the headline of this blog (above). The words in brackets are facts which the, ridiculous excuse for a newspaper, Mail on Sunday (MOS) would NOT like you to know!

Instead the MOS headline reads: “Government adviser on Islamic terror arrested after man is stabbed at his home” Tom Harper is the guy who wrote this piece, sensationalist journalism at its best! Well done Tom!

The headline scares you doesn’t it? A Muslim advisor to the government has stabbed someone! And got arrested! He must be a criminal, a violent man, being Muslim, he must be a violent extremist! But you read on because you want to know the facts. You expect the journalist – that’s Tom just in case you forgot – to inform you of the details of the incident that led to the arrest of a government advisor. Instead you learn that Inayat’s home is valued at £300,000 (not bad, what with the credit crunch and the global recession!), you also learn that Inayat also briefed former Security Minister Tony McNulty, you learn that Inayat was arrested two weeks before Christmas! And you are informed of the opinion of Conservative MP Patrick Mercer, “This calls into question the Government’s vetting of its Islamic advisers.”

But why? What led to the stabbing, how did it happen, who is to blame? “it is not clear what circumstances led to the alleged attack”. And then you find out that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is apparently considering “bringing charges”.

I know what you’re thinking: “What the hell is this? If the man hasn’t been charged, if the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack is unclear why publish this rubbish?” Well maybe it’s because rubbish belongs in the MOS? Or maybe it’s a well calculated ploy to scare people, to smear the character of “one of the most prominent members of the Muslim Council of Britain”, to spread Islamophobia?

You see, with the violent being taken out of Preventing Violent Extremism, with Contest 2 and the new criteria of who is deemed an extremist, the attack on mainstream Muslim individuals and organisations not only goes unabated but has intensified. In the last two weeks we have  had a renewed attack on our very own Azad “there is much truth in this” Ali, Dr Dawud Abdullah and now poor Inayat. Who is next you wonder?

You see, what really annoys these Islamophobes is if the moderate, balanced Muslim individuals and organisations carry on doing their routine activities of educating, guiding and inspiring goodness in Muslims young and old, building collaborative efforts in community cohesion and promoting justice, fairness and good character. They can’t stand it!

They much prefer that Britons believe Islam is a violent barbaric and backward ideology and that Muslims are intent on spreading murder and carnage. So when Inayat appeared on the“BBC and in many newspapers as the moderate ‘voice’ of British Islam after the Luton anti-war demonstrations”, it must have really rubbed Tom – that’s the author of the article, just in case you forgot! – (and others) up the wrong way.

Back to Inayat. The truth of the matter – which the MOS could have so easily established had it exercised a little bit of journalism:

1. An intruder tried to gain entry to Inayat’s home, the intruder was kicking the front door and even smashed a window. Naturally Inayat believed that the intruder had violent intentions towards him and his family and duly confronted the intruder. During the scuffle the intruder was stabbed in the shoulder.

2. When the police arrived Inayat explained what happened and told them he had acted in self-defence. The police filed a case and sent it to the CPS.

3. The CPS have decided not to bring any charges against Inayat.

I guess Inayat will sue the MOS, and will settle out of court, one way of surviving the credit crunch! Another important revelation from the MOS about Inayat; apparently he and his wife, Tahmina Saleem “have several children” – how dare they!

I guess having loads of children is one way of increasing our presence here in the UK!

This attack on Muslims individuals is clearly designed to discredit them, and to frighten others no tto speak out. Inayat, Dr Abdullah, Azad and others must hold firm and keep doign what they are doing.

  • Abu Musa

Subhanallah, didn’t think Inayat had it in him! Both the stabbing and the seven children, Masha Allah!

Azad Ali, Dawud Abdullah, and now Inayat, boy the ‘moderates’ aren’t even being spared, what kind of message do you think this sends to vulnerable Muslim youth?

  • Mamun

The Mail on Sunday are such a crap paper, and most of their journalist are bored and stupid and can’t write!!!

I think MOS should send their whole editorial team back to Nursery school, and get them to teach A, B and C…

This is just the start, who do you think is going get attacked next?

    A. Dr Abdul Bari
    B. Tariq Ramadan
    C. Muslims
    D. Q Foundation boyzzzz

Being a follower of the divine book, i can clearly see such injustice and bias, on individuals who are speaking nothing less than the truth, it shows one individual after another is attacked, so they can indirectly link it to IFE, this is all the owrk of the zionist lobby, and the illegal state of israel. Israel’s Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann
Israel has approved legislation to deny Palestinian prisoners their rights as a last ditch effort to free captured soldier Gilad Shalit.

The cabinet voted for proposals presented by Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann calling for cutting back on Palestinian prisoners’ visitation rights, academic studies and means of communication, The Jerusalem Post reported Sunday.

In addition to sanctions on entertainment media, the prisoners will be subject to stricter guidelines regarding the transfer of money for use at the prison canteen.

The recommendations were made during the weekly cabinet meeting which was the final meeting of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s government.

Friedmann briefed the cabinet on legislature that would have to be instituted in order to take further steps.

“It is true that we are the only democracy in the Middle East, but we can’t let ourselves become the only suckers and we mustn’t show weakness,” he claimed.

The Prisons service announced that the recommendations will go into effect in the near future.

The move is expected to raise strong criticism among the human rights groups, which have been increasing mounting pressure on Tel Aviv over its disregard for human rights during the war on Gaza.

Israeli forces targeted numerous civilian buildings including homes, mosques, media centers and even UN schools, during three weeks of non-stop fire on the Gaza Strip.

There is also evidence proving that Tel Aviv has resorted to unconventional weapons – including depleted uranium and white phosphorus — during the onslaught.

Following the war on Gaza Hamas and Israel engaged in negotiations but failed to reach a prisoner swap deal in Egypt earlier this month.

The two sides have been negotiating an agreement under which hundreds of Palestinian prisoners would be released in exchange for the release of Shalit — captured in a cross border operation by Palestinian fighters in 2006.

Israel has been insisting that high profile prisoners must be expelled from Palestinian territories upon their release – a request strongly opposed to by Hamas.
