Facing the enemy to die

Today, I had to recuperate (back pain) after Saturday’s demonstration in Trafalgar Square attended by 50,000 people followed by the protest at the Zionist entity’s embassy.  I wondered, if I am feeling like this with such a small effort, what about the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza.

To make things worse, I turned on the TV to see a completely biased version of this savage Nazi like assault on Gaza which really got my blood boiling. A homemade rocket is launched in retaliation for the hundreds of American made and supplied missiles, fired from American made F16s that kills innocent children and civilians – and you have the entire Western media machine clamouring to speak to the women whose house the rocket landed near!

It also turns out that the missiles being fired by the Zionists are a new weapon that explodes causing little apparent damage to the buildings but surgically cuts through human flesh and bones. Bodies are cut into pieces. And those who survive will eventually die due to cancer caused by the uranium used in the missiles.

I have to say that a sense of despair overcame me.  How can the brave people of Gaza defend themselves against such savagery? I then turned the channel, and saw a reporter interviewing people in Gaza about the ground invasion. I watched and what I heard from the Gazans, inspired me so much that the despair I felt melted away in an instant.

A Palestinian mother says of the ground invasion: “What can we do, let them come, we are not afraid of dying. We rely on God.”  Another young woman says: “We all have to die, and you only die once.” Finally a really old women, says: “We have nothing to fight with, so if I have to use my kitchen utensils to fight them that is what I shall do.”

One could see in their eyes 60 years of brutal Zionist oppression, during which time, these people have seen their land stolen as the world looked on; their fathers and sons murdered in their thousands, their homes bombed, their water and food supply cut off. All semblance of a normal life destroyed yet the Zionists have not managed even the slightest dent in their courage.

I am sure you all have noted the quotes above are all from women. Palestinian women upholding the dignity of the Ummah (Muslim Nation) whilst their sons are on the battle fields defending their lands against a brutal aggressor.

I thought of the Qur’anic verse, “Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah: of them some have died, and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least.” (Ahzab 23) and I recalled its explanation. The word for men in Arabic is ‘Rejaal’ which also means an ‘upright’ individual. In other words the verse is not only referring to men but also to women who are upright. They are the ones who have kept their promise to defend the truth even if it means dying and if death has yet to visit them, they eagerly await to greet it once it does.

Now how can anyone despair, with the courage on display? I just wished the leaders of the Muslim world; the so called kings (with a small k) and presidents could even display a small trace of this courage. We ask them not to be like Boabdil (the last Muslim ruler of Granada) who after the fall of Granada wept as he looked back at what he lost. His mother reportedly said to him: “Why do you cry like a woman for which you failed to defend as a man.” If these new rulers showed some courage they will find the Muslim masses ready to support their call.

To the Zionists I say stop your brutality, can you not recall your own people were once brutalised and exterminated. How can you then take on the characteristics of your Nazi oppressor and do to others that which was once done to you?

Besides, how can you ever win against a people whose mothers shout the age old saying of the oppressed that have been echoed throughout history: “Have courage my son and don’t die with an arrow (bullet) in your back but face the enemy and die with an arrow through your chest.”

“How can you then take on the characteristics of your Nazi oppressor and do to others that which was once done to you?”

This is actually a very common phenomena. It is well known that brutalised people take on the characteristics themselves. Many paedophiles etc were themselves sexually abused in their childhood.

The Zionists have are the new Nazis – they are copying everything that was done to them. Including the inhumae experiments – this time testing new weapons for the US, in a real battlefield scenario. They are trying to wipe out a group of people – genocide. They deny Palestinians their right to exist as an equal group of people – they must be
    subservient apparently!

    Salam

Yes! This is the oppressed then becoming the oppressor syndrome. Anyway I don’t want to talk about them. Not worth my time. I want to talk about the courage on display. This is real courage, for you can see and hear the bombs landing around the Palestinians and yet, no sign of fear or panic. If the world wants to see dignity and honour in practice look no further than the Palestinians.

“Have courage my son and don’t die with an arrow (bullet) in your back but face the enemy and die with an arrow through your chest.”

    Yes, Alhamdulillah. Br. Abdullah al-Hasan.

It is indeed our women who are the bravest of all in spit of being the topic of so much criticism and attack. They keep upholding that which sometimes us men fail to defend.

I hope this is a lesson for us all especially those of us who at times go over the top when it comes to women’s issues. We are the hardest on our women folk. Yet they are the most deserving.

May Allah give them their rightful reward.

  • Yes, alhamdulillah I agree with you 100% sabil. May Allah preserve the righteous men and women of this ummah and guide those who have not yet seen the light.

below is something from shaylkh Adhami re women:

The word شمس “shams” ( sun in Arabic ) is feminine, and قمر “qamar” ( moon in Arabic ) is masculine. The sun burns itself out to give light and life to everything around, and the moon isمنير muneer, meaning it reflects the light. Within itself it has no light; it radiates the brilliance of the sun. So when we shine as men, the implication is that we are reflecting the glorious light of our women.
