Green Birds in Gaza’s sky

As the Israeli war machine continues its barbaric bombardment of one of the most densely populated areas in the world, people around the world are looking towards their governments and leaders for action – or at the very least condemnation and they don’t like what they see. Instead the muted silence shatters their allusion. These governments are not going to stand out firmly for justice.

As for all those Americans protesting in the USA, their government’s response displays a moral bankruptcy that is beyond comprehension. After all they are fully complicit in this Zionist slaughter.

What about Muslim leaders? One just has to hide one’s face in shame. These are impotent puppets masquerading as kings and presidents; even a coward has more ‘balls’ More >

We are the Resistance!

With the death toll now exceeding 350 and the injured exceeding 1,600 – there is no respite from the terrorist slaughter machine of the Zionist state of Israel. America and our own government have given much fuel to this machine and in fact helped to build the killing machine. So let us be clear about this.

Also, let us be clear that the Egyptian government played an active role in ensuring maximum death and carnage of the Muslims in Palestine.

So what is the aim of this mass murder? Well it’s ideological. How you may ask? The stated aim of the Zionist terrorist state is to destroy Hamas and what it stands for, i.e. Freedom. You may notice that Fatah are not being targeted nor are they bleeding for the Muslims in Gaza, but hopefully they will once they return to their humanity.

We have seen this before in 2006 when the same Zionist terrorist state attacked Muslims in Lebanon, with the usual amount of fuel being supplied by America and the UK, so let us not be surprised by it – though we should be completely outraged.

So now let me introduce to you the definition of terrorism (bear with me): More >

Qunoot al Naazilah

With over 300 Muslims being slaughtered by the Zionist state of Israel, one can easily feel that there is no hope. But a true believer will never feel that, for he/she will know that with Allah by their side there is nothing but hope.

Our beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Du’a is the weapon of the Believer”.

The East London Mosque has organised a special Qunoot al-Naazilah at Fajr tomorrow (Tuesday) for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Please attend and raise your hands to the One who answers the call of the believers. The prayer will be led by Shaykh Abu Ahmad.

Date: Tuesday 30th December 2008 (Tomorrow)
Venue: East London Mosque – 46-92 Whitechapel Rd E1 1JX
Time: Fajr – 6.45am

Brothers only.

Call to Islam

Is the call for a ‘British’, ‘European’ or even a ‘Western’ Islam, still a call for Islam?

The advocates of these usually assert that Islam, as practised by all the varied constituencies, has become cultural, and lost its way or purpose for which God revealed the last message to His beloved Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

If this premise is accurate, then is the call for a ‘geographical’ Islamic renaissance any different from the renaissance called upon by ‘Salafi’, ‘Sufi’, ‘Jihadist’, ‘Islamic Movement’, ‘Tablighi’, ‘Traditionalists’ and others? More >

Ya Ummati

I read this on the Easy Talk forum, the author wishes to remain anonymous, but I felt compelled to share the words at least.

The more I see the suffering of my Ummah, the more I miss him more and more. I wonder if he was here, like a father, he would wrap his arm around us. Wiped the tears from our eyes, reminded us of the reward of Sabr [Patience]. His soft speech would take us to the journey of Jannah, and whispered silently, “This life is a prison for the believer.” I would feel secure having him there; I would know his advice is the best. He said he loves us, his sisters and brothers, even when we weren’t born More >

To be or not to be – is the wrong question

It’s not often I write a post in response to a comment – but there’s always a first time! I’ve been following the dialogue between Azad Ali and ‘Sid’, and the interjections by ‘Abdullah’ on the issue of Aqeeda. While Sid’s main discussion with Azad is an an area of legitimate debate, he (assuming Sid is a he) has seriously erred on the issue of whether the Mumbai terrorists were Muslim or became Murtad (apostate).

I sincerely hope Sid is a real person and not the result of Azad Ali’s escapades with his ‘Habibi’ et al. It wouldn’t be the first time certain ‘reformists’ enter into discussions with Muslims, introducing doubt with the objective of ‘modernising’ Islam. More >
