The price of Usamah

With the 7th anniversary of the belligerent and mythical ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’ attacks on Afghanistan taking place on Tuesday 7th October – America and her allies are still killing innocent Muslims, all under the pretext to capture one man, Usāmah bin Muhammad bin `Awad bin Lādin.
The initial months of the American led terror killed an estimated 3,100 to 3,600 civilians – revenge for the killing of 2,966 on 11 September 2001.

The post-Ramadan experience

Picture this. A man joins the army. He is then inducted and put into an intensive and gruelling training programme. He develops his stamina, trains very hard, and becomes a disciplined member of his unit who the commander can rely upon.
What would you expect from this soldier once his training is complete? Would you expect him to be a liability to his unit? Would you expect him to lose his stamina due to laziness? Would you expect him to eschew his responsibility to defend his country? More >
Working on your Arabic

I think most of us recognise the importance of the Arabic language as the language of the Islamic revival.
The reasons for this are obvious – being the language of the Qur’an, Hadith and Islamic sciences, no serious attempt at understanding this beautiful tradition can progress without a thorough knowledge of Arabic. For those people who believe translations will suffice More >
